- Design, architecture, test and implement core parts for the XR toolkit, specifically for various input systems – like controllers, gamepads and novel input systems.
- Work with controller vendors to expose controller functionality in game engines like Unreal or Unity.
- Evaluate and research the use of controllers for various XR devices like AR smart glasses, XR see-through devices or VR devices.
- Work closely with product managers, partner managers and experts on the customer and partner side to understand their requirements and with that directly influence the roadmap of Qualcomm’s XR toolkit.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., where experience in applying C++ is a must
- Proven experience in game development with a major in interaction design, haptics and input.
- A passion for software development, writing optimized code and using cutting edge technologies.
- Worked previously on VR or AR projects including the use of XRIT
- Deep knowledge of input systems.
- Previous experience with development for mobile platforms (Android, iOS) or head-worn devices (HoloLens, Magic Leap) are a plus
